Filipinos in Sharjah register in Overseas Absentee Voting
15 June – The Philippine Consulate General’s OAV Team headed by Vice Consul Geronimo Suliguin conducted its first field registration in the Emirate of Sharjah last Friday, 15 June. A total of 109 Filipino nationals took the opportunity to register since Friday is a weekend.
The activity is consistent with the PCG’s plan to reach out to as many Filipino nationals in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Vice Consul Suliguin expressed his thanks to Pastor Aldrin P. Ellessa of the Pentecostal Missionary Church of Christ for generously allowing the use of space for the registration.
On 22 June, OAV registration shall take place in the same venue. Other OAV Friday registration dates follow:
- 29 June, Filipino Club-RAK Social Stadium, RAK
- 06 July, Fujairah Consular Mission
- 20 July, St. Francis Church, Jebel Ali (c/o Mr. Art Los Baños)
Those planning to register are reminded to bring a copy of their passport’s data page.

Bossing, sana naman maulit ung OAV registration sa Sharjah kasi hindi po nakarating sa aming kaalaman ang tungkol dito kahit man lang sana sa bulletin board ng St. Michael Church wala pong nakapagsabi sa amin. 109 na bilang ay napakaliit kung ikukumpara sa dami ng Pinoy sa Sharjah.
